ISTJ and ESFJ Coworkers

An ISTJ and ESFJ have a conversation.

ESFJs use Extraverted Feeling (Fe) as their first function.
ISTJs use Introverted Sensing (Si) as their first function.

ISTJs don't use Fe, unlike ESFJs. Thus, an ESFJ's Fe, or any emotional communication, might not be valued or understood by an ISTJ. In a conversation, an ISTJ would rather focus on facts and details, that are valued by their internal Si function.

This video was made partly using FlipaClip, and the sound effects and music are from Pixabay.

LOL.

While I don't often get along with ISTJs, I've happily done lots of similar spreadsheet work. The question of "what motivates you in your heart" therefore makes me do a confused head tilt. I mean, it's it obvious?

The spreadsheet will be clean and beautiful, and you will have done your part for the team by providing them with easy access to updated information, so that their projects and the whole company benefits. And if they aren't all outwardly grateful to you, that's fine. You know they couldn't have done it without you and you are making an important difference. Oh, and you will have completed a task, and task completion is its own dopamine reward.

At least that's how I always read it. I think after doing all of that for the team, I would have been a bit annoyed and hurt by being asked what motivates me "in my heart." My work should speak for itself. If you don't want to recognize my contribution outwardly, that's fine, but asking what motivates kind of says you don't recognize the gift of my work at all. It's negative recognition.

I am an ISTJ, and I will say that organization and reaching my goals motivates me a lot…”why does she ask if she doesn’t want to know?” Is something I ask myself all the time…maybe one day I’ll understand 😂

Dominant Fe, tertiary Fi... this is not gonna end well, according to her speech... Fe's references are just the environment's emotional aspect (even more for dominant Fe!), and without it the ESFJ is lost. Also, I don't know about ISTJ, but his speech considered the future (Ni, not in his stack) and values (Fi, tertiary) kinda irrelevant, thus giving the thinker a blind spot.

Question, does this happen to ISTJs often due to Te preference and inferior Ne? As he's dressed, he could be on his thirties (usually the tertiary is developing at that age).
I'm an INTJ with a horrible Si-Fe example of a mother (I typed her with the little info I could scrounge and her speech patterns), so an analysis of my own could be biased - and, of course, she doesn't get me at all (Si X Ni), and I don't give a fuck about her (Fe-Ti X Te-Fi).
