How To Swap Shimano Ultegra Chainrings and Cranks - My Garbaruk 1X TT Setup
Показать описание
In this video I walk through how to swap your Shimano Ultegra R6800 Chainrings and Crankset with a brand new Shimano Ultegra R8000 setup with a Garbaruk 1X long-tooth chainring on my Scott Plasma Time Trial Bike.
Shimano standard is a BB386 press fit bottom bracket, I did not swap the bottom bracket in this video. The swap I did is extremely simple and the steps are easy to follow.
Ensure when purchasing a 1X chainring for Ultegra crank arms that you have the correct BCD (bolt-center diameter) in this case it's 110x4 BCD, however, note that R6800 has different crank arms than the R8000 Ultegra set so cosmetically, they will look different.
I highly recommend Garbaruk 1X chainrings after having raced and ridden my new chainring a handful of times with a freshly waxed Shimano 11 speed chain.
You can find them here:
There are also 1X options for Dura Ace, SRAM, etc.
I am running an 11 speed 1X system now with a SRAM Red Rear Derailleur.
