The utter lack of scientific advising in this film is astounding.

Kepler-209, the planet on which humans exist after leaving Earth, is nearly 2, 000 light years away from earth. The film admits that the planet is not Earth-like, so why didn’t humans just go to Mars?

Also, we’re supposed to believe that humans can traverse thousands of light years in about a decade’s time, and can somehow transmit to Kepler without a 4, 000 year round trip for messaging between the two worlds, but humans cannot figure out cloning and genetic splicing to keep the human race afloat?

The movie is riddled with ridiculous exposition and cliché. It is chock full of junk science. It’s like “Lost in Space” meets “Waterworld” and this abomination of a film was born.

Don’t waste your time.
