A.. 100% satisfaction... 35+ cruises and never had any cabin issues... rather than eliminate cabin staff low wage folks cut just a couple of executives and save millions...

I donโ€™t have a problem with housekeeping being reduced to one day, but I have a problem with is letting go of 500 people in an effort to save money but then they raise the price of the cruises. I love cruising I love cruising way too much but theyโ€™re starting to make me look at land vacations because of the greed and I hope that theyโ€™re paying attention to what we are saying.

A - always good. I was on a Carnival cruise where I overheard them talking about how they had more rooms per person now due to cuts but they always gave 110% percent. I would love to see them add more house keeping jobs and lower wages/cut an exec or 2. The people who take care of us on our voyage need the money more than the executives do!

It used to always be A, but when Royal cut services and expanded the number of cabins, services have become sporadic.

We are very friendly with staff and they are friendly with us .we try to keep our cabin neat as much as we can and it shows by the way they we are treated with the extra touches .i asked for ice only once and from then on it was brought every day. My cabin is always clean and i thank them by leaving a extra tip on the last day.

C, Especially 0n Norwegian. Was on the Breakaway Mediterranean Cruise last year with clients and had constantly ask for towels
, washcloths. One client didn't have any sheets on their bed. Cutting staff is not the answer

Only one was just OK, however they were new to the job.
Travel Insurance is a absolute MUST!

A: I have not had a bad experience with housekeeping. My last NCL cruise in Oct, my room steward was wonderful. I asked him to only come every other day, but every single day, he stopped by to ask if I needed anything. And every time I passed him in the hallway, he would again ask if I needed anything.

If you travel get ins, especially if you are elderly, overweight, have health issues, children, or take risks. Healthcare in other countries is no joke.

Last fall on NCL Jewel, my cabin cleaning was pretty bad. Thatโ€™s the first time Iโ€™ve ever gone to guests services to complain and Iโ€™m not an overly fussy person. The room steward was never around and I also had no sink plug and a shampoo dispenser that fell off the wall. That ship needs refurbishing.

And NCLโ€™s cuts to their entertainment budget left a lot of unhappy people on that ship. They showed movies in the theatre a couple of night, even the same one on two nights.

you have to think about the way the cruise liners treat their staff if a member was too scared to say she was pregnant and then gave birth in private instead of telling someone

When just got off our second Norwegian cruise and we definitely noticed the decline in our room service. We miss the the evening turn down service and the fun towel animals, but that was secondary to the room upkeep. One day my husband got a bloody nose so we put the towel on the floor under the sink as that is the usual way to let them know to change out a towel if needed. It was left there! We were given a clean one to replace it but .... really? We had to ask to have it removed. On another day we left the room early, turned on the tend room sign and we were gone until late afternoon. The room steward never made it to our room that day at all. We gave them grace because we thought NCL was struggling to hire enough people, but to know they had them and then fired them is a whole different story. If I had known that at the time we would have absolutely given them an unacceptable score. I hate to punish the room stewards themselves though, because it isn't their fault they cut the staff back so much, but NCL needs to know the decrease in service all over the ship has definitely been noticed.

B. Honestly, we do not need our cabin cleaned every day. Maybe just some fresh towels. A few times weโ€™ve had very clean rooms, others we would have to call for t p, towels, or other cleaning. It just depends on the line, staffing, and how messy you are.

"A" Housekeeping does a great job in preparing, up keep and ensuring the needs of the guest are met above and beyond! KUDOS HOUSEKEEPING!!!!
