Great video comparison. I have the exact same gimbals and as I have purchased the RS3 Mini I was planning to sell the SC but I realised that I really want the active tracking feature because it's a life saver when you are filming yourself and the scenes become more dynamic.

The important part is Vertical mount of RS3Mini. And these guys did not mention it in detail. For RSC u need L bracket for Vertical Mode & it never gets balanced properly in vertical mode. However RS3 Mini has dedicated vertical mount and THAT is the major difference.

I got the SC for many years and it’s so good! I just used it last weekend from 10am till 10pm and the battery didn’t die! My arm was little sore but it was doable. What I missed in ur vid, does the mini have “force mobile”? I use that almost every week, the gimbal is then do trolled by moving ur phone, ur get such smooth and perfect tracking of people and I often do that like 30 meter always from the gimbal in a live situation!

I'm reading that when connected to a GH5 the mini cannot control aperture, iso, shutter. Seems pretty garbage considering the way older RSC 2 can with the same usb cable. I might have to return my mini 😢

I own an SC and have a Mini on the way right now. What did it for me… I was on a shoot and the mounting plate on the SC cannot be used with anything else. So I have to set up the gimbal for video before I leave the house, get to where I’m going to shoot video and pictures and do the video first. First the wide lens. Now with my zoom lens, I need to rebalance the whole thing so I can switch from 12mm to 50mm for detail shots. Now when I take the camera off to switch to a tripod for photos, I need to swap out the mounting plates. It’s just too much for what I need to get done! The mount on the Mini can be used on my tripod too and I’ve seen a few videos that show swapping lenses and the motors are powerful enough to not need to rebalance the whole thing to be able to use a zoom lens! I’m so excited to switch to this Mini from the SC, which is also about a pound lighter in weight! I can’t wait. Thanks for the videos!
