Lamy is certainly leaning into purple this year. I have the original Dark Lilac pen, which has a matte finish, and the new one looks shiny. I prefer the matte version (and also have the Petrol and Charcoal).

I prefer the shiny/smooth safaris over the textured ones, which is funny because i prefer textured hand tools over the smooth ones
