Labour MP John Mann has verbally attacked Ken Livingstone as tensions rise over anti-Semitic claims. The former mayor was heading for the BBC Westminster studio when he was confronted by his critic. Mr Livingstone, who faces calls for his own resignation for defending Nah Shah, said: "He went completely over the top." And he told Daily Politics presenter Andrew Neil that previously Mr Mann was "screaming I was a bigot down the phone".

I think the way he's constantly looking back to make sure camera's are getting it all, says a lot.

Did you notice how John Mann looks over his shoulder to check his camera crew are following him?

If the Labour Party were as passionate in representing the working people of this country, as they are about anti semitism, they would walk the next general election.

It's shameful how Ken is being treated. John Mann, the self-righteous opportunistic bully is a disgrace.

John Mann is the one who should read a book
and stop the emotional attacks about a subject he understands only poorly.

Ken actively supported Ed  Milliband - when he was viciously attacked by the Blairites and the Tory Press. Is that the behavior of an anti semite?

The ex-Mayer of London and Labour MP has got in trouble for daring to mention some historical facts? He mentioned that Hitler supported the Haavara Agreement between 1937 and 1939 (perhaps even between 1932 and 1939). We're not talking here about some conspiracy theory or a matter of opinion but well documented and agreed on events. This is not history by some fringe historians, but mainstream. Can someone please explain how any of this is antisemitic?

John Mann actually asked what's the point of checking if it is historically correct? Well, it's a point of history. He can be upset all day long, but that won't change history. What is going on?

Mann to Ken; You've lost it, you need help. Clearly Mann has no insight into his own behaviour, you couldn't make it up!

The nazis were in favour of a Jewish homeland in the Middle East, and that's a fact. I don't see how stating the truth makes livingstone a nazi or a nazi apologist. This is the state of British politics unfortunately.

here's a man i consider a really inspiring politician in my lifetime : Ken Livingston. During his time as mayor of London he transformed it into the diverse, truly democratic City that we take for granted now. In particular, his brave anf decisive work against racist bigotry and the like was exemplary, and set high moral standard sthat would be hard to improve on . whenever i start to feel that politicians cannot deliver ethical government, i remind myself of mr Livingston's wonderful achievents.
Thanks, Ken.You restored my faith in the possibility of decent, humanitarian government .

You've got to love Livingstone...Never apologize for telling the truth...

In the Army the most important thing for a commanding officer was the Truth. Not what "he wants to hear" not what's "politicly correct" but the Truth. A Sargent major could go into a rage if a thing was not true, because knowing the Truth is essential to deal with situation. As Ken put it 'we need the Truth to avoid same mistakes again'. Labour have caved in to anti-truth Blairites who had all those wars in 1990's & 2000's (Israel wanted bogeymen eliminated)

Hi, can somebody respond to these questions, preferably a right-wing Israeli - im genuinely confused.

1 - Why is it not okay to criticise Israel and its government in the same way any other government is criticised?

2 - Why does being critical of the right-wing politics make you automatically hostile towards the personal religion of Judaism and its people? If I criticise Obama, am i by default a racist?

3- Why is Islamophobic rhetoric so common in the media/politics but questioning Israel leads to you being 'suspended'?

4 - Why when Jews, some famous some not, and non Jews, some famous some not, do object to the violation of human rights by Israel - is it not okay to point out that something is not quite right with their policies?

5 - And why, even though the UN Declaration of Human Rights states every person should have free speech, does our 'moral' government bow to lobbyist pressure to silence critics of Israel?

John Mann came over as deranged. Did someone tell him to get down there and sort this out or he'd lose he's job? Dark hands at work again.
