Scientists at NASA have discovered 100 times more water than previously suspected in rocks gathered in the last Apollo moon landing. Jeff Glor reports.

Of course it's important that there's lots of water there, as it can be used for rocket fuel and for sustaining life in lunar stations. It means that it will be easier to start living there than previously thought:)

Not much of a surprise there meaning that there could be water on asteroids circling our solar system each passing second.

@darroni123 it did 0.0, they will tell you in science class that when the earth was like couple thousand years old a huge planetoid asteroid the size of mars hit earth and the fragments created the moon

@xiaopang254 Some scientists theorize that the moon actually came from the the Gulf region....that an asteroid hit launched a big chunk out into space and it eventually became the moon.

@saguy98 I agree because there is also water found on mars aswell I cant waite for us to actualy travel to other planets besides the Moon and hoipefuly see if we can get ppl to mars also :)

There had to be water there, considering all the water brought to Earth by meteorites. The Moon is hit by metorites just like the Earth. : )
