I feel like there is an easier way to clean those solar panels off around 2:00 but again snow only goes through Texas so often. No biggie. Guess I'm jealous because I want some LOL

Wow, very nice, clean white view for the audience (:
It's nature that always surprises us, we need to be thankful for this variety.

Pete, what a wonderful treat for you and the pooches. I hope that your incredible greenhouse faired well. It must be neat to sit inside the greenhouse

For real! We are in Palestine and we got around 8 inches some a foot in some spots. It broke our pvc run and the chickens refused to come out the coop the whole time lol. The poor cow i kept in the barn most of the time but she loved all of it! I'm 30 years old and I've NEVER seen snow like we had this year. Especially TWICE! Completely insane. I never what to see it again XD

Back in January 1985, we had 3 separate snows. The first was actually New Years Eve through New Year's Day; not sure what day the second one was, but our oldest daughter was born during the third one.We lived in the TX Hill Country at the time, but folks in South Texas actually had snow, too.

It does snow occasionally even down here on the coast. No snow here but lots of rain but is cold and mushy. My poor chickens need web feet like a duck. Good luck, stay warm.

I've lived in East Texas for over 50 years. There was one snow that was close to this when I was a kid, but I think this one was a little deeper.

Hi Pete. We just drove though there yesterday and were surprised at how much snow you got. Sure is nice that you have the solar power back up.

We moved here six years ago this month. It was 17 below zero in Minnesota when we packed and it snowed all the way down here and we had three inches on the lawn when we moved in. We aren’t too far from you.

I was born and raised in Nacogdoches and lived there from 1950 until 1968. We never had snow like that growing up. I only remember maybe 2 very lite snows during my time there, where it was so lite and touched the ground and melted very quickly. I remember one Christmas day where I was wearing shorts. So we almost never had snow and it was never like this. I'm back there now and it has been said we are to expect a repeat of last year. I surely hope not. I do hope they have fixed the electric outage problem from last year. That was so brutal that my sister there almost died. Surely the electrical will be in a much better situation now, if that does occur again.

Up by Kilgore and Longview we got this in 2000/2001 winter since then we’ve had 3 or 4 ice storms where it sleets then freezes hard at night and breaks off tree limbs and takes down power lines and like you said light dusting. It isn’t common, it happens more than I want lol 😂

Wow, you got more snow than we did in N. Texas. It snowed here, but melted as it hit the ground. Seems like the doggies enjoyed it.
