Hello Walter, if you think of the Photoelectric E
ffect where e.g. for copper the release work is about 4, 5eV and in your problem you have a plate capacitor with E=3*10^5 V/m. Would electrons be released from the capacitor? How strong must E be, that electrons would be released from the capacitor ?
