My God. 22 years. I was off work on the morning of the attacks. I turned on the TV and noticed one of the twin towers of the World Trade center was on fire. I didn't realize it was a attack when I saw footage of the highjacked planes crashing into the towers. My first words were, "OH my God"! Then terrorists highjacked another plane and crashed it into the Pentagon. Then flight 93, in which the passengers sacrificed their lives to keep the highjackers from reaching its target the white house and crashes in Pennsylvania. Almost 3, 000 American lives lost. I watched in horror as people ran for their lives in New York city as the Towers collapsed and chaos at the Pentagon and in PA. Among the victims were 343 members of the NYFD. BRAVE SOULS. I salute officers of NYPD that were lost that day, the Brave passengers of flight 93. The days after 9-11, I started wearing patriotic badges and American flags to show my support. A little girl asked me why I was wearing this. Kids didn't understand what happened and I asked her "Do you know what a terrorist is"? She said no. I told her it's a criminal who does horrible crimes against others for political, regilious reason, or for the sheer thrill of terroring others. I was just being as honest to her as possible and I told her "Don't ever grow up like that". Her mother thank me for it. To this day, I fear I may know someone that was there. May we all stand united against evil/terrorism. May we honor our lost heroes. God bless. 9-11. "Never
