Feels a little weird going from massive periods spanning centuries to small events like 9/11 and Corona. Should just call our time the Information Age

The idea is interesting but the implementation is quite weird. How can 9/11 and the Coronavirus pandemic be considered historic eras? At least if you're going to add them add the Black Plague and the Spanish flu too

When the Coronavirus is considered an historical age. Still a good video though.

The idea is cool, but the video itself is weird, i don't think that the europeang migrant crisis and the covid pandemic are "periods".
Plus i don't understand why you separated some some stuff during the video, for example the Polish golden age got separated from the rest of the early modern period, in that case you should've included the specific national periods for everyone

I don’t agree with some aspects of the video . Why did you set apart Greece from the rest of Europe during the medieval period ? Makes no sense, and if you’re trying to make the point that orthodox Byzantium was culturally different from “Latin “ Catholic Europe, you should also have excluded the other Orthodox nations of Eastern Europe as well, and also the Islamicised areas of southern Spain and southern Italy, which you didn’t. Heck you even included areas of Europe that were still pagan and therefore culturally isolated from the Catholic west.

given your long start time, you should have shown how the coastlines changed with the Glaciers.

Man you can’t make the first 50 seconds prehistory with no changes 😂

There are so many english eras that i would have added some eras like wilhelminian or bismarck-era in germany, era of tsar peter the great or mongol era in Russia and something like age of trade cities in italy

How the hell is there not a "Napoleonic Period" like... Every country in Europe lost something because of that

Extremely centered in the history of the British isles...

Extremely Anglocentric in both centralizing history to the British Isles and the use of Black legend terms like "Dark age" instead of "Low Middle Age"

Nice video, but there are some major criticisms I have

0:09 The Prehistory Period lasts way too long, you should have either sped it up, have the video start at a later date, or at least give us some interesting facts about the era.

2:46 I don't have a major in history, but I think Finland went from the Copper age directly to the iron age, simmilar to many other underdeveloped countries.

3:28 Technically speaking, the Byzantine era only started after the fall of western rome, because it was still ruled by romans and not greeks.
3:55 Also, the borders of Byzantium never change in this video, despite them conquering many parts of europe and spreading their knowledge.
4:57 No muslim conquests? After they sacked constantinopel they went crazy with spreading their religion and shit, it even lasts to this day in some balcan countries

5:44 That was cringe and out of character, you didn't mention any other plague, so why the corona virus?

Not sure if Covid or the Migrant Crisis should get their own eras, though I understand - it's hard not to see current/recent events as being more important simply because we are living through them. I think the Black Death should have its own brief era, honestly. It changed everything. Perhaps the EU era should be recognised as well?

I really liked how Greece had its own Byzantine era instead of middle ages, because Byzantium truly was a continuation of Greco-Roman antiquity the only difference of which was that it was Christian. The people were Greek, speaking Greek, with Roman laws and both Greek and Roman customs, watching hair races instead of jousting like medieval Europe and having some of the few grand universities of the world at that point. Byzantium might not have had the greatest economy or military, but culturally it was at an elevated point from Dark Age savageness.

I didn't know that Denmark's border dates back to Prehistory 😂

Well it's an intersting idea of video but it's kinda weird, you choosed some events/Era and not other, especially at the end...

Dear commenters, we could make a game with this video: everyone could write the historical inaccuracies of his own country, it could be funny

Shall I start

ITALY

-Etruscans age is forgotten
-No Byzantine invasion in the early middle age
-No Arabs in Sicily
-No vikings in southern coast
-the age of independentist movement in the 800 is not mentioned
- the totalitarian period is totally
forgotten
