It is indeed very good and helpful to learn all 12 keys. That's what it means to be fluent in keyboard or piano. If you have a keyboard or piano, please practice, practice, practice to change all keys with ease. It's possible believe me! Yes transposition helps when you are performing while you still not familiar with some of the keys, but during your spare time please learn how to use all those black and white keys equally.
