Ahead of the first bell, these students are taking a stand: It's the second week running that they've formed human chains outside their schools across Hong Kong... as part of the pro-democracy protests that have rocked the region for months. These Hong Kong Baptist University students also joined in... for them, the stakes are too high not to. 9. (SOUNDBITE) (English) UNNAMED STUDENT OF HONG KONG BAPTIST UNIVERSITY, SAYING: "We will never give up because once we step back, we will lose forever. So we will keep doing this and our action will be escalated."Hong Kong's hugely unpopular extradition bill has been scrapped by leader Carrie Lam, but demonstrator's demands have broadened...They want an independent inquiry into police brutality, an amnesty for arrested protesters, authorities to stop describing protests as riots, and most of all, universal suffrage. 5.
