Root Digital Playthrough #3 Eyrie Dynasties

For this throwdown, I wanted to feature the most crowded and claustrophobic matchup that Root Digital has to offer. There were some moments of lag on turn 1 but the rest of the recording was smoother.

Big thanks to my opponents Tad, Decoy and RFmerlo.

This is why the marquise the cat have a huge benefit at advanced setup

I would love if the app version had a replay system, with the ability to control game speed, rewind, and pause. Would make for more effective ways to record games for playthroughs and game reviews.

That coffin makers craft was clutch. Especially with the saboteurs draw.

Thank you for the video! This particular video is, in my opinion, filled with optimal decisions from each and every player; in a very crowded and interactive board composition that is! It's satisfying to watch a well-deserved victory such as yours. Just a little bit of audio syncing and it would be a flawless video. Great job!

Soooo.... coffin single-handedly won you the game.
Very interesting game from the cats though, would've loved to see what they could have done, if only they could've count right ahahah.
Nice content keep it up!

53:00 am I missing something? Why didn’t the lizards battle your (defenseless) fox roost? It would’ve thrown you into turmoil on a lack of recruit.

The lizards would have scored a point from it. The (hated) outcast was a fox. They had the acolytes. Was this an oversight or am I missing something?

playing as birds and purchasing mercenaries of the river brotherhood. The leader of the birds is the commander, can I inflict additional damage if there are only river brotherhood wars in the clearing or do I need to have at least one bird in the clearing for the additional damage effect to work?

Why didn't the Lizards take out your last roost on Turn 8? That would have put you into instant turmoil and essentially miss an entire turn. Is there some tactical error I'm missing here?

The winter map needs some way of removing the rubble slots when no vagabond is playing

Lizards got greedy…they just needed to drop a garden on the mouse corner to shut the decree down.

On turn 8 couldn’t Lizards just convert your warrior at the roost and then kill the roost? That would force turmoil, no?

Is there anything Cats could have done to play better this game? It just felt like they were doing all the right things, but fell so freaking behind due to bad RNG and getting repeatedly targeted by woodland alliance

31:49 Nah, you shouldn’t let them undo that march in real life either. They got blocked by a smartly managed SK probably intended to do just that. It was a great play. I guess it depends on how lenient your group is but that undo would feel really cheap to me.

The game seems a little fast for your commentary, not a problem as it's a slow turn based game.
