Imagine a 200 Watt head that can fit in your backpack. The Quilter Labs Tone Block 202 amp head is all that and more. Quilter's patented tube behavioral replication technology pushes the powerful notes and note clarity that you expect from a 200 Watt head without any bulk. Don't let its small size fool you. Weighing in at just 3.3 pounds, the Tone Block 202 has all of the appointments you'd expect, such as a 3-band EQ, FX loop, and built-in reverb.

I have had this amp for two weeks now and I am blown away. First switch from tube to solid state. It's perfect. I sold a 2018 Fender Custom Deluxe Reverb Handwired for this amp. No more swishy Fender reverb. Modern tones with the tube feel. Honest!

Mitch rules. Killer player who knows how to get the goods out of ANY amp or piece of gear. I ordered the overdrive 202 as my 4th non tube amp ever. Cannot wait to hear it in person

Picked up a guitar in 1978 at age 8 and haven’t put it down since. Owned maybe 20 amps and roughly 25 guitars since then. I can say this Tone Block 202 may be the best musical purchase I’ve made.
Amazing amp and my tube amps have been silent since this arrived. It’s so dynamic you can’t believe it.
If you area tube guy you will love this. It’s the only amp I’ve ever owned where I can eliminate ice pick tone without it sounding rolled off or a bit flat.
It also is the only amp that I can dial in the humbuckers exactly how I’ve always wanted and single coil tone is next level.

I can’t believe this amp. Considering the price I feel like I owe Quilter more money…😀

Mine is unbelievably fantastic. Keeps up in a band setting without even breaking a sweat, it sounds beautiful clean (especially with a nice delay in the loop and the built-in reverb), and with my KSR Ceres in front it becomes an absolute monster.

Thank god this came out, I was nearly going to buy the Kemper, phew! The only thing that would make this better is a built in tuner.

I don't know why tube heads expect a solid state to be a tube amp. Its NOT. Quilter suits other purposes, like producing tone that will cut a gig and be light weight. Once you're in a band, you start to care less.

Mine is on the way, as well as the BlockDock 12HD! Lightweight, but crazy powerful. Amazing tones as is, or a perfect pedal platform, or a great platform for my HeadRush using the frfr. Oh ya, plug in headphones, send to you interface or PA, power two cabs for stereo, etc. etc. etc. Such a fantastic piece of kit.

I have a Toneblock 201, and love it. Always wanted a 3 band eq (although, I've been more than able to get everyone I need with the controls on the 201). But this unit being built in china, for $575? I think I will keep rocking my American made toneblock.

I used a 200 Watts LunchBox and I have seen others, like Tuck Andress, use it. I loved it, but This has Everything you needed Pedals to create with the LunchBox.

Mitch that's not a push/pull coil split, that's a push/pull low cut per Yamaha's specifications.

How about a side by side comparison with a vintage 45/50 watt Marshall...

Can it be plugged into a different brand cabinet? Say like a an Orange 2x12 for example?

A Yamaha with a one-parter bridge! Why were those discontinued? Why? For the love of the Green God WHY? The were the best variant of the entire range !!

Interesting amp, my Katana is great in a band setting, I've stopped using my massive Marshalls, solid state has come a long way, I now think of the whole package rather than just the tone, so long as it's enjoyable, after 30years I'll trade a little tone for an easier life, dragging big Marshalls out of hatchbacks is a pain

The riff at the 1:50 mark is "The Wind Cry's Mary" by Jimi Hendricks. If you play guitar and don't know who he is, you are forbidden to pick up your axe until you find out.

Breakbeats.
