BUSY LAST DAY IN TAIWAN

Last day in Taiwan. I was next to a small town called Jiufen, which I missed on my ride around, so I decided to start out my day with a visit there. The previous night was a bit hard to sleep, but it was a great day nonetheless. Jiufen is the landscape background for the movie Spirited away. I also took a walk up to the top of mount Keelung, and had some parting philosophical words about my time in Taiwan. After Jiufen, I rode to Keelung, Taiwan cried for their loss of me, I found an awesome street festival and boarded the ferry for mainland China. Do you all like how I put MAINLAND in there? Did that make some of you feel good? Bad? Did I do good? Can I get a cookie? Are you detecting the sarcasm?

Matt, I remember you told me at the beginning we're all scared, we have a certain expectation of it but it'll never be the way you think it will be. It's amazing to follow you on your journey and just appreciate your efforts in capturing and producing your story in a way so we can all there with you. Most stories get lost in time, yours will last through the minds and hearts of others

Your listing of people and places in Taiwan reminded me of those old TV shows and how occasionally they'll have a low budget episode in which, maybe, some main character is missing or thought to be leaving, and they weave clips from previous episodes interspersed through a story about reminiscing over the missing or departing cast member.

OH! OH! The last day and we have so enjoyed every journey. The Burnt Hotel Green Island and being ill!! The mountains, the Tunnels Cliff top roads, The friends you met. My first wife had a Taiwanese friend and so inspired got found by a Chinese Wife!! Beware the Philippines!!
