This logo is still in use even to this day while the DreamWorks Animation logo was changed for the 2019 film Abominable and the current version debuted in Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022).

Imagine seeing a re-release of Fast Times at Ridgemont High with the DreamWorks logo seen before the 1963 Universal logo as We Got the Beat begins playing. But with the alternative fanfare used in Mouse Hunt.

I remember seeing a movie starring Steve Carrell in theaters back in 2018 and when I saw this logo, the original 1997 one, I was shocked as I was thinking “Dreamworks still makes live action movies?” as I thought they started only focusing on animation after 2006.

In 2016, universal pictures bought both dreamworks pictures and their sister company, dreamworks animation.

Pretty rare to see this DreamWorks logo in DreamWorks movies in 2024. Since DreamWorks mostly focuses on animated kids movies which has the recent present logo… Unless it’s related to Adult drama style movies, I think DreamWorks will still use this logo.

This logo is the normal dreamworks and is use for the live action movies and the other is the dreamworks animation this is the 1997 logo and still use today
