🔥 How to DIY Remove 100% Silicone Caulk (Old, Stubborn)➔ Stuck to the Fiberglass Shower Tub Pan/Base

This video shows you how I DIY removed old stubborn 100% silicone caulk from my fiberglass shower pan bathtub base. I needed to remove the caulking in order to prep the surface to lay down new silicone. The biggest risk was cutting into the pan with the razor, but my system worked very well in the end - the new caulk applied and adhered to the pan! Hope this helps!

I have some clear silicone stuck all over this place in cracks(wrong caulk for entire house) which I cannot get out. Tried a few things. Will try this. Thanks

I think it may have been posted by others but WD40 worked well for me to soften the silicone up first. I took a pot and pan plastic scrubber and went back over it a couple of times and it came off.

Hey thanks for this! Question- Are you supposed to remove caulk from the corners (as in, the vertical line going up to the ceiling) as well? I can't tell if it's caulk in the corner or

My suggestion? Don't use a brand new blade. Get the very sharpest of factory edge off it 1st.

Also, De-Solv-it can sometimes be found at your local Ace or True Value stores as well.
