Most reviews I have seen are pro BYD Seal. 10-15% does not matter today and will matter even less in the next coming years. Also, it is hard to compare M3 and the Seal. M3 is everything that Seal is not. If you want a minimalistic design and a good and efficient drive then choose a car like Tesla. But if you want features like front display, real stalks, gear selector, HUD, 360 camera, real sensors, Android Auto/Carplay there is really no other choice than the Seal. I live in Spain where they are equally priced and I choose the Seal for the above reasons. But in Australia this must be a no-brainer where the Seal is much cheaper..

I don't think most journalists are saying the interior of the Tesla 3 is nicer. Quite the opposite from what I can tell. Most journalists are saying the Seal is more comfortable and "premium". They are also saying the exterior of the Seal looks better. The real problem in Europe is that the Seal's pricing is uncompetitive. In Australia it's a lot cheaper and easily undercuts the Model 3 making it quite a compelling proposition.

The latest YouTube review from Electrifying (UK) when comparing BYD Seal and Tesla 3 Highland clearly favours Seal. Seal has a much better ride and the cabin is quieter.

My BYD recently came to the rescue after a storm in Brisbane left my suburb without power for two days. It kept the fridge, lamps and a couple of fans running until power was restored. That alone solidified for me that any EV worth considering must feature V2L/V2G capability. My neighbours who had to battle through the heatwave with no relief certainly agreed. 😂

Seal is much cheaper than Model 3, so I definitely consider Seal over Model 3

There is a youtube of two women comparing Model 3 to Seal. They both preferred the Seal, better ride, indicator stalk, thought the interior was better. But less boot space, not got the Tesla charging access and cost more to buy. They preferred the looks of the Seal.

My new Seal will rarely go near a charger outside my house, so not a reason to go T3, price is another factor, Tesla may be cheaper to charge away from home, I have a wedge of cash to compensate for that, I drive aT3 regularly and it’s ok, I drove the seal an I rated it better, everyone has an opinion and I am happy for anyone who buys a Seal or Tesla, they are both magnificent examples of EV’s😊

I test drove the Highland and Seal performance, back to back. Despite the reviews saying otherwise, I didn't find the new model 3 that much better than my current made in China Model 3 (which has stalks 😉). In particular, the new model 3 is not much quieter, which was a critical requirement for a second EV, since my model 3 is too noisy for me to drive on Australian course chip regional roads. The Seal, on the other hand, was much quieter and better insulated from the road. For people who don't already own a model 3, the choice will be a difficult one since both cars offer different benefits. But with the pricing of the Seal Performance in Australia, it's no brainer to have one of each in the garage.

I’ve owned a AWD Seal Performance for 2 months now. You only need to turn off safety systems once here, not every time. My Performance Seal cost less than a base model 3. I’m also using the V2L to power my home. Videos on my channel for the doubters

BYD MAKES batteries. Tesla wants to BUY batteries from BYD. The model 3 uses outdated NCA batteries that combust upon damage. What you get for the car with BYD is insane value.

BYD need to work on making their cars lighter to improve efficiency, handling etc. but good refinement does add weight

Model 3 - sportyness, Tech, economy
Seal - confort, rear passangers space, classic buttons

Sam you are a Tesla fanboy. It must be painful to see BYD gaining more EV market in different countries and Tesla decreasing sales. I watched reviews in Europe and Australia that recommended to buy BYD seal. Please do a proper research. M3H sales are going down, no one is buying it. End of the year result is going to be very disappointing for Tesla. I am eager to see that video in your channel. Good luck mate 😅

Ive ordered the Seal Dynamic ($15K cheaper than M3) so price is a factor for me!! I was aiming for base model MG4 or Dolphin at the start of 2023 so have already upped my budget - test driving in a few days so will know soon whether I will go ahead. Love that we are getting so many EV options now and it will only increase in choice and price as time goes on. Petrol costs for me are about $100 a week so I am looking forward to dropping that down to between $0 and $9.50 a week charging at home with solar / off peak.
