Louqe's own testing shows the Big Shuriken V2 out-performing the NH-L12 by a few degrees, unfortunately I can't get my hands on that one yet. Thanks for watching!

Hands down most informative SFF channel on YouTube

SG13 case has been around a long time... but is a classic go-to sff case. Fits full size components across the board, has a very efficient layout, and is cheap!

Definitely a must-watch before choosing cooling system for s1. I have tried L12S, louder L9x65, huge but silent C12P, then ended up X53. Its tight but awesome

Amazing! Thanks for testing with cooler at the bottom, case looks so much better that way. Time to finish watching....

EDIT: I wonder how much it would help if they'd offer a "bottom hat" that was a bit taller than the top hat with intake vents on the side.

Loving all the Mini ITX stuff. Thanks, keep it up.

The L12S can be made to fit by slightly bending the heat pipes and should perform quite well. As well, depending on your motherboard and RAM, you should be able to replace the fan on the L12 with a slim 120mm fan! Both of which apparently yield substantial performance increases over the stock L12.

Even if I didn't care about the review, it was worth watching for that smooth metal sound as the side panel slides off.

All these ITX cases have minor flaws that drive me crazy.

Hey Optimum Tech we found that there’s an even more optimal way of air cooling the ghost S1! Two actually.

One involves using the L12s where you just bend the L12s down 3mm so it fits but you have to either remove the heat spreaders from your ram, or use the Ballistix Sport LT ram. That ram will fit without having to remove the heatspreaders with the pushed down L12s config.

The other method is the by bending up the L12 slightly and removing the heatspreaders from your ram or using the ballistix sport LT ram and then squeezing in a slim noctua 15mm fan. We found Temperatures dropped 10-12 degrees with this method.

I don't know if you have noticed one thing, this is real console killer. It fits nicely to living room too :)

Dude, it's the most perfect mini PC setup I've seen. I hope to assemble them soon as your recommendation of L12 cooling method.

Sides can be screwed into bottom bracket to avoid the screws on top.

ncase is the greatest mini itx case so far.

I would recommend the Silverstone SG13 case for a SFF PC under $100 and 20L. The panels flex more than they should but it's hard to top the case because standard ATX PSUs and standard length GPUs fit well.

If you're looking for an affordable sub-20L ITX case to review, check out the GEEEK A50. It's around $100 (with PCIe riser), features a similar layout to the Dan A4/Ghost S1, and is very flexible thanks to the DIY nature of the case. In theory you chould flip everything around and have the motherboard on the left with the GPU on the right. There's a lot of modding potential with the case, I've already installed custom side panels on my black A50 and it looks pretty nice.

You could check out a be quiet shadow rock lp with a 120x15 mm noctua fan. Oh and also how much does an additional fan help instead of the storage drive?
