I did the boat tour in September, it really was beautiful. We even had lunch in the water where they had tables set up with music. Cartegena was beautiful and fun except for the aggressive hustlers but I respect it. Thinking about going back for my birthday

I was in Cartagena a few years ago and loved the city but bothered by the street hustlers that I am afraid to go back. We will be on a cruise stopping there in February and am thinking of staying on the ship.

You are completely off about the Palenqueras! If you so much as point a camera in their direction, they will demand you pay them an exorbitant amount of money, and if you don't, a bunch of them will swarm you and follow you everywhere until you pay. And if you take a picture _with_ them they will demand a small fortune from you.

Mercado Bazurto Market does not look anything like this. Thank God our transportation driver did not just drop us off and leave us. I would have been terrified if I walked through this place.

Please DO NOT use horse carriages! They are so mistreated and some of them have died on the streets. Please !
