I saw something like this at a prestigidator show once. The guy walked around the audience, row by row, everyone staring at his hands, and when he came on stage he had pockets full of watches, bracelets, wallets and even a few rings. One of the "robbed" was the head of the criminal department of the Citizens' Militia (that was the name of the Police in communist Poland) in my city. It was one of the best shows I've ever seen.

When I was a kid I went to school in a wealthy town. My mom was a single mom and she did pretty well but she got sick with breast cancer and lost her job. She couldn't get unemployment or disability and things got pretty bad. I remember taking it upon myself to learn how to pickpocket people for lunch money. I never felt good about it in fact I felt horrible about it after a short time I got pretty good at it. Eventually I got discounted lunch meals and I stopped.
