loved this video, you ☺️ and i completely agree with your thoughts on the park. i’ve been a few times when we had a merlin pass and i always felt something was missing but could never put my finger on it!! it does feel weirdly empty despite its size and what is there feels very randomly placed. it didn’t quite have that element of theme park magic that i love!!!!

I’ve only ever been to Thorpe Park and chessington because I live closer to it but after watching this I need to venture out to Alton towers!!!

There are also many themes at Thorpe Park saw, nemesis is a volcano in the jungle, swarm alien invasion, colossus meh, stealth 60s racing so yeah I think it’s a pretty strong park theming wise, it has different areas; jungle, lost city, amity, swarm island, unsure where the theming is lacking and it certainly is a ‘theme park ‘ rather than an amusement park. Yes the rides need work eg colossus and new restraints on rush (over the shoulder restraints) but apart from that I really have nothing to complain about, other than swarm island which is a fair walk away from the rest of the park; I think it should have a path connecting stealth and swarm so it is more accessible. In contrast to Alton towers Thorpe park has many really enjoyable flat rides like detonator and samurai. Rides wise Thorpe park is definitely better, but the surroundings and overall atmosphere at Alton towers is better and definitely more family friendly. Great video also, needs more subs :)
