I think it's one of the most hardest songs to Remix, any Flume song really due to the absolutely terrific sound design & structure created by Flume. But i really don't like the fact that people compare the illenium Remix with the original, That Remix sounds like a thousand other songs on the other channels. It's pretty blatant and unoriginal in my opinion. But the point is that what people like in that remix isn't the mixing of the original Say it, but only the extra things added by illenium in the remix, meaning that even if illenium had released that song of his own with any other generic vocals, it wouldn't have made much difference. That's what i think is regarded as a great remix, when the original is amplified into something much more different & is transformed into it's own identity. Take for example my favorite remix of all time, Tennis Court by Flume, he took the great things of the original and spun them around in such a masterful way, it sounds way better than the original yet still feels like an extension of the original, meaning it would be incomplete without the original, but in the illenium remix case, not so much. That's what a great remix is. Thanks for reading so long.
