I found out yesterday I’m a descendant of 35 Regiment of NC/SC. They were the first intergraded troops of color. The test pioneers before the Buffalo Soldier regiments were created. ✊🏿I have had this song in my head all day with pride.
My GGGGFather was born enslaved fought for his and our freedom. 💕

I will be celebrating Juneteenth in his honor next year.

I’m not against inheritance tax but the way it’s enacted is criminal. First the government hasn’t increased the bands with inflation meaning now anyone who owns a home relatively near a main city centre is probably in the bracket despite being poor when it comes to income. Second the tax is a death tax not an inheritance tax. They look at what you have when you die and take 40% of what’s above the band. Then however many children you have be it 2 or 10 get to split what’s left. A fair inheritance tax would be each person get to ‘inherit’ a certain amount and anything above is taxed.
