ST Models ASW-17 electric scale glider

This is a mini 2.1m wingspan scale model of the ASW-17 glider/sailplane from ST Models.
It is an EPO plug-and-play kit so you just need to add your own transmitter and receiver to fly.
The kit comes with an 800mah LiPo pack but I decided to use my own 1300mah Zippy pack which appears to be a little too heavy and requiring elevator up-trim.
The thin wings are very unique and different to other EPO models of this nature as it is undercambered and wrapped in some kind of matt white vinyl protective sheet.
Although it is slow and stable enough for a beginner (IMHO) I did push the nose down after gaining some altitude for a flyby (@ 2:45) and the wingtips do make a nice whistle!
It signals thermals well and I was able to get about 25 minutes out of a single pack that day.
Climb rate on the stock standard power setup is respectable and I got up to 200m altitude in about 10 seconds.

Hi Daniel, I have this glider too. It is a great park flyer & thermals quite well on very little lift. Where & when did you buy this aircraft because I find it nearly impossible to get any ST model aircraft in Australia any more. ( well flown by the way ).
