I get what you saying but I still think wearing a mask does help to keep away from virus.

Airbags in cars wont save lives 100% of the time. Should we not have airbags?. Even if masks help 10%..its still worh it because they are expensive. Or at least wera a bandana.

I'm a little annoyed at this doctor. He even recommended wearing gloves to the grocery if it makes ppl feel safer the other day, but kept doubling down on "masks don't work". Masks aren't the solution but it will help for sure. As long as this virus still transmits through droplets primarily, masks would obviously be effective. And come on, it's not that hard to learn to properly wear a mask and the dos and don'ts.

It worked in Taiwan, South Korea, Hong Kong. Medical experts will have different opinions from different countries. Canada has never been through MERS, SARS, H1N1, etc like those Asian countries. They know from experience what works and how to prepare. Hence why their numbers are small
compared to the US and Europe.

Just say the reason you recommend not wearing masks is because there is not enough supply. Don't make up reasons that are completely false.

What about asymptomatic transmission? Many people who have the virus don't show any symptoms but they still spread the virus. For that reason, everyone should wear mask in public to protect others and themselves.

I am from Canada and I returned to China. I think the public health opinions of Canadian doctors are much different from Chinese doctors. Everybody wears a mask in China. If I were to use the Canadian doctor's opinion on not wearing a mask in China, I would probably be shamed. They definitely take covid-19 virus more seriously in China than Canada. Furthermore, how about video presentations on what proper mask to buy and how to wear it?

This doctor seems to be too political and not have been studying cases from other countries.
Why? There are cases of people who got over the Coronavirus and reactivated the virus. These kinds of specialists should have warned the government more in an early stage.

watching a Korean doctor earlier said that mask help Korea a lot! please for once say the truth china is keeping mask for her people...as far we dont know how to use them we can learn ....let this teach the world that u cant depend on one country and lets learn to keep producing some things ourselves no mater the cost....

Korean health experts had to educate the public, the proper way to put on n off masks safely. They came out on news to show people, they didn't lie to the public because they thought the public was too dumb to teach. Simple logic; 1. If it's vital for hospital staff to protect them from the virus, then it will protect the public the same. 2. This virus can spread without symptoms. 3. No one will wear masks when people treat you like a plague; so the sick will roam pretending to be fine. The health experts should practice thinking things through

Why then in South Korea 51 million people were taught by their officials how to wear masks properly?
Furthermore it is still mandatory to wear one there, and as well in China ! BTW, their number of infections are decreasing. Why can’t we learn from their experience?

I would wear mask still because I am not too sure if I can control my sneeze if it happens in second thinking how am i gona sneeze not to effect others? I think this people should educate their nation how to wear properly like korea do
