Budget oneplus used to be so good. One of my fave phone is oneplus X and mine still works really well for backup phone. Im expecting oneplus to make a similar phone like that, but I dont think its happening in near future

The fact that this only gets 1 OS update support is a massive blow, considering phones this same price are guaranteed at least 2 years of OS updates (Xiaomi comes to mine).

The reason it’s not sold in Asia (yet) is these very reasons. 1+ is not willing to kill reputation in low end, in competitive markets.
A lot of people would buy it for the 1+ name and O2OS but would absolutely be disappointed thereafter once owning it.

OnePlus did a complete 180 in thr the last year. The 7 series was so good. Now they're dropping phone after phone all of which are not impressive.
