Invisible Cities Calvino electro/acoustic MIchael McNabb

"City of Reflection" selection from the 5-movement electro/acoustic 1985 suite by Michael McNabb based upon Italo Calvino's work, "Invisible Cities" and written in collaboration with the ODC San Francisco. The live 1985 performance also featured a "dancing" robotic arm.

The complete work is on Wergo WER 2015-50. Performers are Artis Wodehouse, piano, and Michael McNabb, soprano saxophone, synthesis, and processing.

The images were chosen by Artis Wodehouse and are melange of illustrations created mainly by artists in response to Calvino's work, and are available on the internet.
