Agents of Rome: Michael Heiser

Michael Heiser (1963-2023) was an agent of Rome. He wanted to add the human tradition of man's free will to the teachings of the Bible. In this video, I will be examining claims Heiser made in his book titled "The Unseen Realm." The notion that men have wills free from God's predestination is contradicted by the Bible, which plainly teaches that God is omnipotent and has determined all events.

The motivation behind Heiser wanting to add the human tradition free will to the Bible is so he can claim men use their free wills to merit salvation with God. Again, Heiser's end is to establish justification by faith and works. You see, free willers want to boast that they did their decisive part concerning their salvation. They want you to believe that Jesus did only part of the work—that He came, lived, and died for every single person to make salvation possible! If you will only use your free will and choose Jesus, then your work will cooperate to make your salvation actual! You cannot divorce synergism from free will. So the Jesus of human free will is not able to save who he wants, but is just standing by, waiting for your to do your part—hoping his desire to save you will not fail. Heiser is preaching that the free will Jesus has done his part, but will you do your part? The free will Jesus is but half a savior, but you can be the other half—if you just use your free will correctly! Do so, and you can boast to those who did not choose Jesus: "You deserve to go to hell, but I am better, for I used my free will to merit my salvation!" This is the blasphemous false gospel of free will.

Heiser was one of the few somewhat knowledgeable believing new testament scholars, although he was still blinded into believing YHWH deserved worship. The "god" that Luther and Calvin worshiped is not the deity described in the hebrew scriptures. It is an equally flawed version they have constructed through careful manipulation and selected interpretation. They and others have imposed centuries of man created (reformed protestant) theology onto this deity in an attempt to create a coherent theology. Sola Scriptura, divine determinism, faith alone, and predestined election are all christian doctrine imposed on the Abrahamic god. These concepts would not have been understood by the earliest biblical writers as modern christians do. Rather the deity described in the hebrew bible is often a confused tyrant who brought on the flood because it regretted creating humans. No amount of calvanist (omniscient) pleading or apologetics can change what the text plainly states. The Sons of God or angels who rebelled and took earthly women are a thousand times more worthy of honor. In addition, either they did this through free will apart from being determined to do so or the "god" they rebelled against is just acting out an unnecessary ego trip. Remember this deity also repented when Moses convinced it not to kill all of the israelites after bringing them out of Egypt. This is a nonsensical narrative under a calvanist framework. One must again smuggle in reformed theology and alien interpretation to make this coherent with their own theology. . No, this is a jealous and angry tribal deity like any other in the ancient near east that demanded servitude and compliance.

Well I can tell just from your introduction you're not too bright. I'm guessing you don't ANY of the biblical languages, i.e. Greek, Hebrew or Aramaic. Dr. Heiser was one of the best biblical scholars of our generation. It blows my mind how people like you who don't even know what sound hermenuetics and exegesis are try to slam men who much better at it, and more faithful biblical scholars than you!
