By accident, I found a hidden feature in my Anker 533 power bank. It is made specifically for charging low-power devices.

Anker 533 Power Bank on Amazon US:

Affiliate link. The price you pay stays the same, but I may make a small commission. This helps me make more videos. Thanks!

Someone who doesn’t read manuals:

It’s a hidden feature!

It's not a "hidden feature" to people who actually read the instruction manual that came with the Power Bank. Just saying...

OH this is an interesting insight. I discovered one of my charging cables has gone bad because my powerbank wouldn't stay on when I use it. I thought it was a connection issue. But I guess it connects fine but cannot carry as much current anymore.

... but maybe that also implies a connection issue lol I wouldn't know I already repurposed the cable hah

Why would you advertise it as a hidden function? It's there in the powerbank manual. Don't miss inform or mislead.

Oh cool! I wish more power banks had this. Can't recall how many times my battery would turn off while charging my Pixel Buds.

This is called trickle charging and Anker is giving this for a very long time period. All my Anker power banks has this feature.

Thank you, i was looking online for what this light was for. I know others have pointed out that the manual explains this, but I didn't have the manual and couldn't find any information online, so this video is actually helpful

I've always wondered why my newest powerbank can't power my heated vest but my old ones can!

Wow. Amazing . even my cheap 10 buck xiaomi powerbank from 2014 has this feature.

Wish all powerbanks had this feature.

It is annoying to find out that my powerbanks can’t charge my low-powered devices. It kind of negates the convenience of a powerbank since you are left to plug into a wall outlet your low-powered device.

Wow that's actually amazing, thanks!!

The same feature is also present on my ugreen powerbank. Also good if you don’t need fast charging but the thing here is that the power bank will not auto power off when the devices are done charging

Does this feature also allow for charging USB-C devices that don’t handshake? I have a few cheaper or older devices that refuse to charge on fast USB-C chargers but happily accept a USB-C cable plugged into my computer

Pretty much any modern power bank haw this, even those without screens. Most just blink an LED to show that it's in low power mode
