I love how people gloss over the fact Dave befriended and developed a close relationship with a transgender comedian who took her own life possibly due to the treatment she received from her OWN LGBTQ community!!!! The hypocrisy of their stance! Did the LGBTQ community establish a fund for her daughter? NO, Dave did! I am amazed by people short sightedness when clearly he is morning the loss of a friend! Dave isn’t speaking hate. He isn’t speaking from a place of hatred. He’s speaking from a place of humanity, of actual compassion and relatability. He’s trying to get his audience to see thru different eyes. And it’s complicated. He’s opening a discussion. And if we can’t have a discussion then what’s the point?

If anyone is aware of the John Gruden incident, is exactly what Dave was speaking of. John made a racist remark and got a snack on the wrist, then within the same week he was caught saying something homophobic and he immediately had to resign🤷🏽‍♂️

See, this concluded Dave's point precisely. If they understood the actual point of the entire special that "community" wouldn't react they the way they have. But instead they've gotten so used to responding with hate and malice and getting their way because society has also backed into to a corner of societal zombiefied pressure. that now they've reached a roadblock because Dave's special exposed just that....stop punching down on my people (the people).

He said nothing hateful at all and didn't put anyone down. He's basically calling out the racists within that community and the hypocrisy. Flame Monroe understands her position as a Black person in that community and they send her death threats.

I think that the LGBTQ+ and the “alphabet community” are two different groups with the former being the majority of us who just wanna be and go on with our lives and the latter who are the people you see get the most media attention which really does more damage for the rest of us

Absolutely no one is off the table when it comes to comedians. Besides I loved the special and I have friends who are part of the LBGTQ community that loved the special too.

Good work Netflix. Employees who are disruptive at work should be suspended and/or fired. Also, great job Netflix on supporting Dave's freedom of expression through his art. Dave and Netflix are in the right here. Simple as that
