Air Combat Command's F-16 Viper Demo from Shaw AFB in South Carolina piloted by Major Craig "Rocket" Baker. Watch as he performs a FANTASTIC "low show" demo over Southern California on a cool, breezy, drizzly day. Take-off time: 3:17pm.

Shots from the cockpit are GoPro Hero cameras used by the Viper Demo Team. Footage from outside is shot by myself; Spencer Hughes. Footage is also edited by me.

a lot of people dont understand that when the pilot does the High G maneuvers, he or she has to exercise what is called The Anti-G Straining Maneuver (AGSM) Fighter Pilots have to wear a special suit called a G-Suit that compresses their body to keep them from passing out during the INHUMAN AMOUNTS OF G FORCE during a high speed maneuver. The pilot cannot just rely on the suit to do all the work, they have to compress their bodys with the special breathing technique I just spoke about (The AGSM). If they dont, they can and will passout during a flight and kill themselves and a lot of people on the ground (possibly). Pilots are so highly trained that its almost super human. And most people wont ever know. they just think that they are good flyers. :P nope, much more than that.

I was the eight or nine year old when I got my first model airplane of an F-16 and I hung it from fishing line with about 13 or to 15 other aircraft that I had built in my room! Hands down the most beautiful and lethal aircraft that has ever been designed! I am a fan of the P-47 although huge bulky but same outcome!

I was there. Been going to this since I was a kid, then it became a tradition for my son and I who is now nineteen. If you have any opportunity, go to this show, it is the best! Sometimes they even "sneak" a pass in from an unexpected "visitor". A few years ago it was an F4 Phantom. I hadn't seen one of those in years. Brought tears to my eyes as he disappeared over the foothills. It was like watching my childhood fly away. If you see a 1941 Dodge Power Wagon in the parking lot, stop and say "hi", that will be my son and I in his truck.

Major Baker is a very kind, classy guy. He was a wonderful demo pilot who inspired my son to aim high! My son is at Vance AFB and will start pilot training soon.

I lived on a naval base in New Orleans when i was kid and im lucky to say me and my friends would literally ride our scooters to the back of the base and watch these insane things take off

Ultimate morning wake up workout a human can have. Beats the crap out of any fitness gym or swimming pool facility. You know the pilot's heart rate was up there when you saw his chest heaving from the efforts of his body managing extreme 'G' forces. Love the vapor trails forming on the wings from extreme 'G' forces generated from maximum torque being produced. This video should be compulsory morning wake up viewing while enjoying breakfast over a cup of English breakfast tea with 3 tea bags in the cup with maple syrup. No need for nicotine...

Ich bin so froh, dass wir hier in Spangdalem Germany eine F-16 Flotte haben. Als Deutsche haben wir auch Kampfmittel, aber einen Freund zur Seite zu haben, tut immer gut. Ich wünsche euch Amerikanern eine gute Hand, in euren Entscheidungen.
