iFixit just published a video where they revealed that the keys are now covered by a membrame which prevents dust and dirt ingress and may fix the problem

Bought the MacBook Pro 💻 32gb 1tb and I caught the MacBook Pro 13 base model today. Selling my 2 2016 touch bar models tomorrow. Bout time Apple caught up to the present!
