DJI Air 3S at Cornerstone Park for the 2024 Las Vegas Drone Meetup

The Las Vegas Drone Meetup was this last weekend. The main event took place at Cornerstone park in Henderson, Nevada. In this video I give you a little aerial tour of the park with the DJI Air 3S. It was a fun event, and I look forward to going again next year.

Very nice choice of a place to fly. If you like wetlands, there is a superb place called Wetlands Park out on the eastern end of the valley. There's a central location with a great visitors center, and informative signs all along the pathways. The overall park is very extensive, following the Las Vegas Wash almost all the way to Lake Las Vegas. There are very popular bike trails that go alongside the extended section. However, you cannot fly a drone there. Clark County only allows drones in 8 specific County Parks. The City of Las Vegas forbids drones in any City park. The meetup organizers knew what they were doing when they arranged the event at a park in the City of Henderson.

PS: I know from one of your previous videos, a few years ago, that you have family out in Summerlin that you come to visit. In case you're looking for places to fly out that way, the two nearest County parks where drones are allowed are Lone Mountain Park and Desert Breeze Park. (I live in the same area). But of course, the best place by far is the drone-friendly Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.
