I tested both SMSL c100 and their new cheaper and simpler SU-1 DAC in my system. I returned the c100, the SU-1 just sounded much better, even though they had the same AKM chip.

I've just found out that SMSL also has the D12 amp/dac, which uses the same dac chip as the C100, has a relatively low powered amp, and gets rid of the optical and coaxial inputs. At $170, it's priced in between the C100 and C200.

I think the first rule of chifi is: if you can think of it, wait long enough and it'll appear on the market.

I've been waiting for a device like this at this price for 3 years, glad it came out now

I do have th T9 from Aiyiama, very nice, but I want have more power, so I thought to buy a nice mini poweramp, which one I should take, what should be your advice?

I wane hook this up between my pc and fosi amp for my dali opticon 2 mk ii would i be able to hook a subwoofer up to this dac?

I have a Fiio k3 (old one) connected to smsl sh6, every fan in the computer is audioble. would you recommend this as a replacement? Thank you very much in advance.

If it has MQA, it doesn't exist.
