Pardon your own son with criminal charges that can face 15-25 years BEFORE the sentencing is a threat to Democracy. Pardoning Hunter before the sentencing is telling people that JUST BECAUSE he is my son, I pardon him (which is anti-democracy). After the sentencing, you can say the sentencing is too harsh and injustice, he should be pardoned. Big difference.

"Not billionaires buying democracy." That is your moral judgement which is subjective. Each human still had their own decision to make. Human's are capable of First Principle thinking thus leading them to a conclusion. They are also capable of using the more primal part of the brain and making a emotion based decision.
