Would another finals' loss end all GOAT discussions for LeBron?

Skip started the finals record debate. Jerry West has been the logo for all 4 decades of my life with a 1-8 finals record without one eye batted in his direction

"Finals record" didn't exist until people started to use it to attack Bron

The Finals argument for Jordan is almost laughable. Im 45yrs old, and remember Jordan being anointed with "best ever" before he even won a chip. Meanwhile, Magic had 5 and Bird 3 titles and it was still Jordan with 3 NBA videos, commercials, and signature shoe seen as "GOAT". In some people minds they only see 6yrs of Jordan's career.

I totally agree, if Mahomes would have lost, haters would say he’s 1-2 in SB and 2-3 in championship game, it’s those who never played sports who don’t really know how difficult it is to make and win in playoffs every year for a long period of time

lol, his daughter is super nervous. she knew the answer but couldnt say it. hopefully she actually helps her dad more and gives her opinion on his new show.

Agree with nick, it makes no sense to lose earlier then later. Everyone knows it but MJs record really has brainwashed society

Finally someone with some common sense

It makes so much sense. Yes, a silver medal is not as good as a gold, but it should absolutely carry a positive value. People just try to change narratives to serve their agendas.

Nick has a very logical mind. It kills me these 6 and 0 Jordan arguments. So stupid

Lebron james haters better pray that lebron doesnt win this year due to several reasons
1. 1 more playoff series win will tie the record with derrick fisher with the most series wins with 40
2. This would be his 5th ring to go along with 11 finals appearances which will be 1 more than kareem and the most in the modern era
3. He would extend his playoff scoring record and put it more out of reach, have the most playoff wins, most series wins, 5th ring, 11th finals appearahce and highly likely to set the record for most finals points.
4. This would be his 6th head coach to take to the finals and 4th coach hes won with if he wins.
This is 100% a legacy altering year for lebron

This type of mentality (that losing in the Finals is bad for legacy) will hurt the NBA a lot in the next few years...
Watch as how an entire generation of new players who grew up watching the "Lebron v Jordan" debate, deliberately not giving too much effort in the first rounds of the Playoffs if their team is considered an outsider.

I think people are subconsciously applying regular season logic to it 4-6 looks bad if it's your teams record 10 games into a season and 6-0 seems much better but these aren't regular season games and you won a lot just go get to the finals.

Just busy and haven't been able to watch you as much lately. What do you think of the job Darvin Ham has done? What do you think is the biggest factor in the Lakers playing so much better since the trade. Love all your Lebron takes. Keep on these dudes necks lol

I have a feeling the clippers aren’t gonna go farther than the lakers. And for the rest of this tenure the clippers are gonna hang their hat on the season wins against them

Can you imagine if Tim Duncan actually went 6-0 in the finals? Along with the fact that he never missed playoffs or had it consistent number two throughout his run? The mental gymnastics would be amazing😅.

Can you imagine if Jordan played for the warriors Nick would have a field day.

I love the fact that EVERYONE is linking "who the best player ever is" to who has a "better" finals record, when it suits them, (Bill Russel)!!
I almost never see the argument based on who we actually think was the best basket ball player.. I think, in a vacuum, without all that finals record bs, lebron IS the absolute best basketball player ever. And That might not even be a close call. 💁🏿‍♂️
