How to setup Windows 11 Home with a Local Account

A short guide on how to setup a clean install of Windows 11 Home without creating or connecting a Microsoft account.

This is done by allowing the system to connect to the internet to find updates, then breaking the internet connection and attempting to create a Microsoft account.

Good tip:
Press Shift+F10
run these commands:
netsh interface show interface
netsh interface set interface "Wi-Fi" disable

replacing "Wi-Fi" with the interface in question that you want to disable
You can now continue with the setup and reenable the network once you've logged into Windows

Thank you! I had signed onto my wifi before getting to the Microsoft screen. Thought I was 'stuck' with having to sign on with it.

Instead of disconnecting my internet, during install, when connecting to wi-fi, I UNCHECKED the option for "connect automatically". My HP laptop restarted and then did not automatically log on to wi-fi. I was then able to add several local user accounts using these instructions. This worked on my HP pavilion x360, not sure if it is the same one way on everybody's computers.
