One of the most helpful chess teachers ever ! Really gives a lot of thought to how average players think and behave during chess and then gives you the correct way to think and play .

You have only 31 years old and already have 25 years of experience in a very difficult subject! Congratulations my men, happy birthday, thanks for your great work and I hope to see more of your videos in the future. I'm 36 and start playing a year ago, in tournaments even 12 years olds beat me on chess haha still I'm not giving up and hope to reach 1.400 some day. Have a great day

Your second example around 6:00 is called the Colle opening. It's named after the Belgian GM, fellow countryman and our chess club name. Main ideas are the e4 pawn break and the Greek gift threat. If black develops naturally, to the queen side, you have a lot of attacking chances. No castling and h4 is an example of aggressive play.

Regarding Tip #3, I play one game a day against the Lichess computer, and then later in the day analyze it, move by move. I set "Multiple lines" to 3/5, meaning I'm shown the best three moves, with the best of the three the largest arrow. I'm still awful, but have seen progress, and can't ask for anything more.

Regarding 1) If I do this move, what will/can the opponent do, and what can I do in the next step?... it's crucial to reach this 'the 1 step ahead' level in strategy games.

I did make some tweaks to the thinking system when watching this. In the first position I looked for candidate moves for white and thought Bh6 seemed logical. I checked and then noticed d5 might be dangerous. In reaction to that I looked for a way to play against that move and came up with Na4 to meet d5 with Nc5. Even so I missed Ng4.
In conclusion I checked the opponent candidate moves first in the next position, and I found Ra6, Nxe5 and eventually g4 although not as quickly. After noticing these attacking moves, I wanted to protect Nc6 and e5. Qc7 was then the most logical move.
These tips were excellent especially because I lost on time more times than I can count. Thank you.

It's interesting that in the position at 10:30 the proposed Qc7 is evaluated the same as Be7. Turns out black can't save his bishop after Qc7. The only move keeping the game closer is Bxf3

In the first example, I figured out how to defend the immediate Nxd4 followed by Ng4 but not the immediate Ng4. How do I not just give up on being able to see obvious threats
