It is a wonder to live as far north as I live, and the solstices reminds me of that. It's never dark right now (only a dusk/dawn that there is no darkness inbetween). How apparent it is, problably is part of why everybody around here celebrates it in one way or another. I find it very joyous that everybody celebrates midsummer here, even if it is in different ways and for some it's just a cultural thing and for others it's the solstice and nature that is in focus.

Ngl, I live in Phoenix, AZ...I very much dislike the summer solstice because our summer season and days are SO long, and it gets deathly hot. I find myself having to resist the desire to just curse the sun, and there's definitely no celebrating lmao 😆.

It's interesting to learn that it's associated with celebrating life though, just because due to where I live, summer is a time where things catch fire, or dry out and die, and winter is when everything feels alive and beautiful. I appreciate this series though, I'm learning new little tidbits in each video 💜
