Sounds like my story. Lost my 30 year old son suddenly and had panic attacks for years. I reframe all the time. 5 months out. I still have bothersome tinnitus at times. I have been a meditator for years so i already had that tool. I do listen to nature sounds every night. I want to get some maskers. I do not have hearing loss. I love these podcasts and youtube videos.

I've had it for years, and my coping mechanism is similar to hers. I accepted it, and even made friends with it. Most times, it leaves me alone. But if I choose to focus on it, it's still right there screaming. Then I laugh at it and focus on something else. For me, it's playing guitar - at low volumes, of course. That's what caused it to begin with - I used to play in a band (But not anymore).
Moral of the story - if you're a musician, please protect your hearing....please.

I once went to a doctor about ear noise and he laughed at me. He said you just have to ignore it. Said he, we all have it. He said, every person who works in my office has it. He said I had become too self-centered. In the end he was right.

I have somatic tinnitus, and I can change the nature of the ringing by turning my head, clenching my jaw, pushing on my left side temple, or even by looking down.

If this sounds familiar, chances are you also have somatic tinnitus. Caused by either the jaw, neck or back.

I’ve been at it for almost 6 months now.

What I’ve learned though is to keep doing strength training. As well as sound therapy when it’s bothersome.

At first it seemed like it made everything worse. But then the following days it lowered in volume.

Now after a while, working out a few times a week will give me a “buffer” of a couple of weeks with 0.1-0.5 volume.

I’ve been skipping workouts once it got so low it didn’t bother me anymore. But then it came back with a vengeance.

Now I’m determined to keep exercising and doing strength training.

Two in a half month of tinnitus hang in there people some day's our better then other's going to the gym helps alot watch what you eat milk for some reason kicks mine up

I listen to music with my headset or watch something on my phone. There are times I don't hear my tinnitus caused by menopause.
