I'm one of them. Was atheist for 27 years, then realized I was wrong on abortion, like really wrong. That shook me pretty hard. Then I noticed the ONLY people who agreed with my new view were all Christians, and this really bothered me. So I bought a Bible, confidently thinking I'd debunk it (because I had been an avid reader of philosophers), but of course it was the Bible that debunked me. Quickly came to understand that the Catholic view on the Church was correct and the rest is history. Thank you Lord Jesus for coming down in the filth and lifting me out of it.

It was so ironic the Roe vs. Wade decision was made in the midst of America’s participation in the Vietnam War. The irony came to play in that many of the same people who were calling our returning soldiers “baby killers” were also advocating the legislation of abortion.

This is what converted me. I was non-religious and pro-choice all through my teens and twenties and when I began to question my stance on abortion (completely separate from any religious reasons) I looked up debates that ended up being from you and Lila Rose and a few others (can’t remember their names unfortunately) and I admired your worldview. It was much later on, by happenstance, after you had converted me to a pro-lifer…that I discovered all of you were ALSO Catholic. So it led me down a whole other rabbit hole where I ended up attending a Catholic Church for the first time in my life, mostly out of curiosity….then attended it for a little over a year…and then enrolled in Inquiry and then finally RCIA.

I’m pregnant for the first time in over a decade and my husband and I, and both of our daughters, will become Catholic this Easter.

It all began with pro-life vs pro-choice debates!

This happened to me. Raised nonreligious and became prolife at 15, which led to becoming Christian, and eventually converting to Catholicism at 28. The Catholic understanding of life/marriage/sexuality was the only one that made sense and worked as a cohesive framework that opposes all the modern ills of abortion, euthanasia, surrogacy, contraception, etc.

It's almost like a church with 2000 years of tradition, philosophy, objections and answers has the most logical approach to morality and life. That was a big part of my conversion: how any objection I had to the church, the church had an answer for it. And the answer didn't break any logical rules. Beautiful church, Jesus be praised!

Oh for sure. I became pro-life as an atheist before I became Catholic. Then I studied ethics in uni, which got me into virtue ethics and eventually the Natural Law, but then I started shifting into metaethics and then metaphysics. Became a sort of neo-Aristotelian. But came across the Catholic intellectual tradition, and fell in love. From there, the rest is history. The Catholic faith—or worldview, if you’d rather call it that—was just so cohesive and beautiful, it just makes sense.

Basically, it’s because the Catholic Church, since it’s divinely instituted, is a bastion of reason with a perfectly robust philosophical and spiritual framework. As Chesterton said, “The moment you cease to pull against it, you feel a tug toward it.”

One of the fathers leading my RCIA says once the Catholic church convinces you about one thing, it's only a matter of time till she wins you over wholesale. God is amazing. <3

Pro life is a hallmark of a true Catholic. Another is giving due honor and veneration to the Holy Mother of God the Blessed Virgin Mary, Salve Regina!

Hi pro life reformed presbyterian here, I disagree with you on many theological issues but when it comes to this issue I think you’re absolutely spot on. And I think the Catholic Church has done much more for the pro-life movement, I think any existing protestant organization.

I was baptized Eastern Orthodox but grew up secular. Pro-life turned me to Catholicism

The reverse is true for me. I reverted to Catholicism in my late 30s and had my first child. This convinced me that what the Church teaches about abortion is correct. I’m staunchly pro-life now.

Former Protestant now a Catholic convert this issue right here was a massive reason why I moved to the Catholic faith. 95% of Protestant churches are too cowardly to speak on the issue primarily because they prioritize money and church attendance over speaking biblical truths.

I became pro life as an atheist before I became Catholic. It fit with my belief in objective morality and negative rights to become pro life after I realized life begins at conception. I became Catholic a little while after reading Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis, which makes a moral argument for God (if I remember correctly).

I remember arguing with the founder of a really big prolife FB page who, as a Protestant, was quite bitter about how many Catholics there were on his more "theological" posts. This was my simple point: prolife advocates become Catholic because they recognize no institution in the world has been as stalwart in defending the sanctity of life as the Catholic Church. Even most of the Protestant churches have backslid on issues like IVF as of late.

Catholics converted me to Pro-Life and then I later became Catholic.

Dr. Nathanson’s book was a huge star for me. I was Jewish and pro “choice.” I started to wonder why more Jews and Christians were not doing as much for the Pro-Life movement. I joined 40-Days for Life. 🙏🏻

I am a recent convert from protestantism and find myself bringing in a lot of those views. But I am open to learning the faith even those things I don't yet understand (ie Marion doctrine) and your channel is very helpful. Thank you for the work that you do.
