Not often that I advise you to not book a room - however, Oasis of the Seas Boardwalk View Balcony 11723. We will do the full room tour and I will point out exactly why this room is not for me and suggest a solid alternative.

Brandon, thanks for the tour of your room. It’s a good thing that you are so relaxed when it comes to complaining to customer service about things that others would not have tolerated. I would’ve been quite upset about that spoiled dual glazed door glass and the smell in the room. They might not be able to do anything about those things until the next dry dock visit.

I’ve often wondered what these rooms are like from a noise point of view. On MSC’s World Class, there’s way less going on down in that open area, so I reckon it would be much, much quieter on there in a promenade balcony!

I enjoyed my boardwalk room on Allure. Booked again on Utopia and that was a mistake. Blaring music till 11:30 every night and Sunday night football till even later! No go on the Central Park rooms on Utopia either as the pool music is super loud (eventhough I love the DJ, I would like peace in my room). And so may venues on Utopia go late so no booking a room next to or above/below them. Just takes a lot more consideration.

I had an inside promenade facing room a few years ago. On the first night even at 10 o’clock, I could hear the boom boom boom of the sound coming through the glass. It sounded like a drum. I went to guest Services and asked them to move me to an inside state room or anything that wasn’t gonna be noisy. Thankfully they did and I’ll never book that kind of room again.

As always, an honest review that is really appreciated. All your "personal preferences" are mine too and sitting on the balcony feels like a high rise in a congested city. Side note!! I just booked a 4 night on Celebrity leaving next week. Looking forward to the short drive from West Palm which is a change from flying in from Toronto.

I wonder how much noise the suites overlooking the Aqua Theater get. While they're closer to the theater, it's the living room and balcony that's closest to the the theater, while the bedroom is on the opposite end of the suite more overlooking the stern.

I have cabin 12729 on Harmony next Month Will I have a real good view of the Aqua show? Thats why we booked that cabin. I had a promenade family suite on Independence of the Seas so noise I can handle

Heads up about that coffee table. If it’s in the way the cabin attendant will stow it for you. Just fyi.

See, I would never spend money on a balcony that overlooks the inside of a cruise ship! What's the point?
