Chromeo - Hot Mess (Even Funkier Edit)

This is an edit I made a while back of Hot Mess by Chromeo, released on the album Business Casual on Last Gang/ Turbo Records in 2010. I’ve been a big fan of the Canadian electro funk duo of David ‘Dave 1’ Maklovitch and Patrick ‘P-Thugg’ Gamyel, and I’m lucky enough to have seen them live a good few times. This tune is always a staple of their sets, but I must admit I find Elly Jackson’s vocal a bit annoying. So I found a way to cut it out! Other than that and shifting a few bits around, this version stays pretty true to the funky original.
