My only concern is that the joints make it look very flimsy. I have the Neo and it’s a tank.

LIDAR has only been used on the Air 3S

But it’s seems it’s like the Neo. With a button you decide what the flip is suppose to do, just like the Neo, look at the black screen in front. There are different signs just like the Neo. So I guess it flies by itself and you can use the controller of the Neo and may be even as a fpv drone.

Surely it's only a front obstacle avoidance. Doesn't seem to have any sensors around.

I don't know - I like the look and feel of the DJI Neo as is - just needs a better camera and 60 obstical avoidance sensors!
