Dust Devil Interrupts Illinois Baseball Game

Once saw one of these as a child at the football ground. We were so fascinated and told everyone we saw a tornado.

This is nothing compared to the dust devils in Mexico. Some of them look like actual tornados

Me and my cousin we’re working on a patio a few days ago and a dust devil passed right over us. We felt a big sudden gust of wind and then saw the dust devil moving across the driveway. It was awesome

"something you don't see every day..." unless of course you live in Arizona, then you see several a day. They form when one part of the ground heats up faster than another part next to it, and then the difference in temperature (hot air rises and cold air falls) causes the air to spin in a sweet column of craziness. In this case the dirt of the infield got way hotter than the cool grass around it and made for this impressive looking twister because of that fine dust on the ballfield being flung aloft. Too cool!

Welcome to Illinois folks we get these quite a bit usually not this large but there's different varieties sometimes they'll be with leaves sometimes with sand sometimes with dust
