I appreciate the Mallow appreciation. Geno's cool and all, but poor Mallow gets forgotten.

I ended up with Mallow as my most used party member, because I wanted to fill out as much of the monster list as possible.
One of the small details you don't really notice unless you are looking for it, is that the battle music changes when you get a 5 action chain. Additional backing instruments come in seamlessly, and the music becomes more intense and pumping. Missing a command then drops it back to the regular version.

I love this new remake, the only thing i don't like is how "silent" the dialogues are. I mean, the dialog itself is amazing, but there isn't ANY sounds when an character says something, not even small little noises (its great dialogue, but a bit unconfortable not having any sound)

This game is one of the first games I remember ever watching my mom playing and playing myself not long after. I didn’t really appreciate those moments until after she passed away and I had kids of my own. Now I’m doing the entire playthrough with my toddler as the second ever game I do that with him, with the other being Mario Wonder. This game is such a magical experience that I’m glad many others will have the chance to experience themselves.

In the OG, my team was Mario/Geno/Peach.

But now? Thanks to the in-battle quick-switching, any team works well for most of the game. Mallow is also a lot more useful, because of his Thought Peek skill having relevance to 100% completion.

Nothing is more pleasing then seeing Choctopus playing his favorite game ever in a new way with all the quality of life improvements, new mechanics and gushing about them! I’m very happy for SMRPG, it doesn’t to deal with the N64 or Mario 64 coming out a couple months after it like it did back in 1996. Also THE MUSIC! I love Yoko Shimomura! She’s still got it with the music and even then, you can still change it back to the original soundtrack!

If I'm going to be completely honest, I had never even heard of "Super Mario RPG, " until people kept bringing up "Geno for Smash." And even then, I had no idea who he was, or what he was from. I just knew that he was a Mario character. (I was born in 1997. A year after the game released.)

I only learned about the character and games existance through the Mii Costume in Smash 4. (But I was glad to see it return in Ultimate. Sorry, Choc.)

I played Super Mario RPG but only on the rerelease on the Wii. I didn't grow up with it. I was too poor to have an SNES as a kid. As such, extremely happy nostalgic takes like this just warm my heart.

You know when this game was announced I balled my eyes out and too see the little JRPG that could finally get the remake we never thought we'd get makes me so happy

26:14 i alternate my party trought the game.
Mallow for some weaknessses there, geno for some bosses here, but in the end i always use mario geno and toadstool!
Literally the best endgame party you can have! Mario is strong af with super suit and lazy shell weapon, geno boosts everyone and "flashes"a good amount of damage, while toadstool is invincible with lazy shell armor.
