Juliet M. Kavishe is a practicing Professional Interior Architect, Design Educator and a Design Competition Juror with a career spanning 17 years and 2 continents. She is an Executive Board Member of the Pan Afrikan Design Institute (PADI) and also a Vice President of the International Council of Design (ICoD), whose mission is to increase the recognition of the value of design, elevate the global standards of all design disciplines, and improve the situation of individual designers everywhere.

Juliet's professional and academic practice is guided by the principles of pausing, observing, analysing, reflecting and applying. Influenced by John Berger's 'Ways of Seeing', Juliet approaches spatial design with a critical lens on how art and design are perceived, considering their social, cultural and political contexts.

This Masterclass will help us visualise, organise and structure all the information, ideas or spaces we engage in and the latent indigenous knowledge within us and provide a clear guidance and insight into design, or at least have us questioning our views of design and being open to new 'Ways of Seeing Design'.
